The Capital City Summer Wind Band provides an opportunity for its diversified membership to share their musical interests and talents. The ensemble brings together musicians from various community bands, high schools and colleges throughout Central Virginia. The summer performances present a wide range in musical styles and repertoire, including popular marches, classical transcriptions, and Broadway and film favorites. The Capital City Summer Wind Band strives to create an atmosphere of enjoyment and entertainment for the community, focusing on a desire to share the joy of music amongst its participants and audience.
